Hi everyone!! Sorry to have been away for a bit. I missed you.

So Neytiri's "breeder" forwarded a health record to the shelter the other day, She had a tumor that grew on her belly about 3 years ago that was removed, thus leaving her with one nipple missing and it's match being located more in the middle of her.....BUT the document did include her birthdate...here I thought she was 8 years old and it turns out that she will be 6 on 1/1/2012!

While I was away from the board, my husband decided to share his cold with me , so I was out of work last Thurs & Fri. It was worth it though because Neytiri came down stairs and actually spent time with me! Ever since I got her a few weeks ago she has just stayed in my bedroom under the blankies and only sought me out to tell me to feed her. Now that all her infected teeth have been removed and her antibiotivs are done she is much more attentive to me. So she slept cuddled on my recliner with me all day Saturday & Sunday.

I had to go back to work yesterday (Monday) and now she acts like this last weekend of "bonding" didn't even happen!

Now for the question.............

So do your kitties "punish" you when you don't behave as they would like??

I cannot answer your question, but I'm glad you gave us a new update about her. I was just thinking yesterday that we havent heard from you in awhile and today you posted :) glad to hear from you again and hopefully she wont "punish" you for too long

Some days my schedule is unbelievably bad;24-36 hrs gone at a time. If I do this more than 2-3 times per week, my kitties miss their bed time snuggling, and my boy Moses will ignore me when I come home. He ignores me for the first few hrs- won't sleep with me, let me pet him,etc. Usually after those kind of hrs I'm down for the count and in bed for awhile and after a bit he's in there snuggling- so he forgives me!
